铁画简介：铁画是全国工艺美术品之一。距今已有三百多年历史，由“姑熟派”萧云从等与汤天池共同开创了艺术奇葩—铁画的先河。铁画以铁为原料，经红炉冶炼后再经锻、钻、焊、锉等技巧，以锤代笔，以铁为墨，锻铁成画，堪称一绝。铁画作品黑白分明，虚实相符，钢柔并济，乍看墨色淋漓，具有国画的神韵，细看飞点走线，锤痕斑斑。具有雕塑的立体美。称之“铁为肌骨画为魂”，以其特有的魅力流传百年而不衰。是独具一格的造型艺术品，具有浓厚的民族艺术特色，被世人誉为“中华一绝”。并于2005年被认证为首批非物质文化遗产。
